They Invented Nebraska werd in februari 2012 opgericht door Bernt Lauwereys en Kevin Kestemont. Met twee stemmen, een gitaar en een drumstel proberen deze twee heren zo luid en vuil mogelijk te klinken. Hun Garagerock wordt geïnpireerd door rock’n’roll en garagepunk bands uit de Jaren 50 en 60. Maar hun sound leunt het dichtst aan bij bands als The Vines en Nirvana.
